Accessibility Statement

1. Scope

Golfclub Elbflorenz e.V. is committed to making its website www.golfclub-dresden.de accessible. Our benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA and the European standard EN 301 549. This statement applies to the website including its English and Czech language versions.

As a registered association we are not a public body within the meaning of the German Disability Equality Act (BGG). We publish this statement voluntarily because an accessible website for members and guests matters to us.

2. Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the requirements listed above. The content listed in section 3 is not yet accessible, or only partially so.

Implemented so far:

• full keyboard operation, including menus and the language selector
• a skip link to the main content and a clearly visible keyboard focus
• sufficient colour contrast for text, buttons and links
• a clear heading structure and labelled tables
• understandable error messages in the contact form that screen readers also announce
• hints for links that open a new tab or load a PDF file
• reduced animation when requested by the operating system, and a button to pause the partner ticker
• alternative text for the images in the fixed page content

3. Non-accessible content

The following areas do not yet fully meet the requirements:

• Text on background images: In the header areas of some pages, text is placed over photos. Depending on the image, contrast may be lower in places.
• Images from the content management system: Photos for news, tournaments and teams sometimes have only a generic alternative text or none at all. We are adding these step by step.
• PDF documents: Tournament announcements and result lists are provided as PDFs and are generally not prepared for accessibility. We are happy to provide the content in another form on request.
• Embedded third-party services: Online booking for golf lessons and taster courses (Golftimer) and the directions map (OpenStreetMap) come from external providers. We have no influence over their accessibility. You can always arrange appointments by phone or e-mail, and directions are also described in text.
• Videos: The linked flyover videos of the holes have no audio description. The key information on each hole is available as text in the Birdiebook.

4. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 22 September 2026. It is based on a self-assessment: an automated check with the axe-core tool and a manual check of keyboard operation, contrast and screen reader output. We review the website on an ongoing basis and update this statement when changes are made.
